Carmel tech provider seeks to buck struggling economy with
free ‘Small Business Makeover’ for lucky retailer
CARMEL, IN – One lucky retailer will receive a free “point-of-sale” technology makeover, courtesy of Presti & Naegele‘s Accounting Technology Consultants, a full-service accounting firm with new offices in Indianapolis.
“Point of sale” refers to the processes that help retailers move their products off the shelf and into the hands of consumers.
Founded in 1982, Presti & Naegele provides business services through offices and affiliates in New York, Philadelphia, Asheville, NC and Tucson, AZ. Its staff of QuickBooks ProAdvisors is the largest in New York, and its Accounting Technology Consultants group (PN ATC) is one of Intuit’s premier solution providers.
A new office is opening this year in the Indianapolis region and will specialize in a host of services, including data migration and installation, file set-up, tax advice, and staff training on all QuickBooks products, specifically for retail and hospitality businesses.
Starting Tuesday, February 9, 2010 through PN ATC will accept nominations from local retailers to win a “Small Business Makeover-Retail Edition,” which will feature free services from both international and Indianapolis businesses, including:
o Point-of-sale software from Intuit’s QuickBooks,
o Point-of-sale terminals from FEC,
o Point-of-sale peripherals from BlueStar Distributing,
o An e-commerce “web store” from PDG Software,
o Retail business consulting from the Retail Owners’ Institute,
o Marketing services from Prospection Network, and
o Public relations counseling from LevelSix.
Nominations will be accepted on www.smallbizmakeover-indy.com. Nominations will close February 28th, and the winner be announced March 3.
The free makeover will help a local retailer use new technologies to improve its business in the midst of a struggling economy, said Colleen Patterson, director of business development for the new PN ATC Indianapolis office.
“Every small business across Indianapolis and the country are struggling to survive in this tough economy,” Patterson said. “What better way to kick off our Indianapolis operations than with a gift of free advice and technology for one of our new neighbors.”
